Astrobiologist
“Never limit yourself because of others’ limited imagination; never limit others because of your own limited imagination.”
Mae Jemison (first African American woman to travel into space in 1992)
Hello!
Fascinated by space exploration, I am always looking for new challenges to partake in, whether they are in my professional or private life. After having studied geology in Switzerland and geochemistry in Australia, I specialised in astrobiology, the field of research concerning extraterrestrial life. As of January 2020, I’m also the commander of an all-female crew of “analogous” astronauts, who’s mission will be to go to a Mars research station in the middle of the Utah desert in the USA.
In my free time, I love to do lots of sports. I actually was a founding member of the women’s football/soccer team at the Lausanne University in Switzerland. On a daily basis, I like to learn new things, be it by travelling, watching a good documentary, or by spending time with my family and friends.
My life path hasn’t always been a straight line. On the contrary, like many other young women, I spent a lot of time “searching” for my calling while being afraid of making a mistake. Years of dealing with these doubts and questions have taught me to trust my choices and more importantly myself and that is what I wish to share with my Sisters!
